Database Searching

I have often thought that finding things in a database is complex and there must be a better way of helping users to search.

Earlier in the year when I was asked by a client to implement an index which linked documents to their database, it occured to me that it would be a good idea to also index all the data in the database so that users could find information in much the same way that they currently do when using tools such as Google. After this a pilot project was started which resulted in the first commercial product called QuickSearch for GoldMine.

QuickSearch for GoldMine indexes the complete database and allows users to find things in all areas of GoldMine in an intuative way.
